Congressional Republicans Focus on Restricting Abortion at Expense of Economy & Jobs

Tea Party Republicans in Congress are doing everything they can to overturn Roe v. Wade (the Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion) and end Medicare, and nothing to create promised jobs. They have also worked tirelessly on state levels to impose the most restrictive laws eroding access to abortion.
Now that it's more than six months into the Tea Party Republican reign, it is clear that the Republican agenda is a social one. Republicans want additional tax cuts for corporate America to be paid for by de-funding abortion clinics, health care for women, seniors, and the poor. Among their other goals, the GOP wants to roll back environmental protection, worker safety and union workers' rights.
To force their social engineering agenda on the American public, the GOP is now threatening to force the U.S. into credit default, which is certain to wreak havoc on our struggling economy.
Some people believe that the GOP is deliberately working to sabotage the economy to reduce the chance of President Obama winning a second term. The theory is, if the economy is bad at election time, voters will blame Obama and vote for the GOP candidate. But historically, U.S. voters tend to vote against incumbents when things are going badly and in this case, the incumbents are the Tea Party Republicans in Congress.
